I was lucky enough to get my hands on a small lot of Cavallotto Barolo Bricco Boschis 1974: one of the most celebrated wineries in the Langhe and Castiglione Falletto grappling with a weighty vintage. Those who know the Cavallotto winery also know the rigor that the various generations have applied to the management of this wine, in every available vintage. I would also add that being able to taste a bottle of this age, from such a prestigious origin, is an experience that must be tried.
