Luciano Sandrone Barolo Aleste 2021 is one of my favorite wines: I've had the good fortune to meet Luciano Sandrone a few times, and each time I learned so much about him, his family, and his vineyards. His love for his grandchildren led him to rename his Barolo Cannubi Boschis with the first letters of Alessia and Stefano's names: an act of love and connection. Sandrone's wines also have the added bonus of Luca, Luciano's brother, who has an obsessive knowledge and is responsible for the operational side and is one of the most respected noses in the Langhe.
