Paolo Monti Langhe Nebbiolo 2021

Paolo Monti is first and foremost a friend: he was one of the first winemakers I met during my discovery of the Langhe, and it’s partly his fault that I’m here today, just a stone's throw from the mythical Barolo vineyards.
This Langhe Nebbiolo 2021 is its first vintage, from a single vineyard in San Sebastiano near Monforte d'Alba, managed with the intention of producing this wine, meaning maintaining a slightly higher yield per hectare compared to Paolo Monti's usual standards. Aged in stainless steel and then immediately bottled, this is a profound, fresh, quick-to-express, and far-from-trivial wine.
