Roagna Barbaresco Asili Vecchie Viti 2017 Double Magnum - 3 Liters

Let's delve into legend with a bottle, or rather, a three-liter, of extreme rarity. Roagna is a winery that has built an undeniable reputation, thanks to its various plots in Barbaresco and Barolo that are producing wines loved and collected worldwide.

The Enoteca has always had a special regard for Roagna wines, also due to its geographical proximity (one hundred meters as the crow flies) to the winery in Castiglione Falletto, which allows us to get our hands on treasures like this double magnum.

Three liters of Barbaresco from the renowned Asili vineyard (one of the most celebrated crus of the Langhe) in the Vecchie Viti version, with vines over 70 years old and even longer aging. The 2017 vintage was a dry year, but the guarantee of old vines serves this purpose: older plants have a deeper root system and can, even during the summer droughts, draw some nourishment from the soil.
